Internship Program Information

Student internship projects will support direct and organizational consultation services, and coalition efforts efforts by:

  • Providing direct support, training, and mentorship to individuals considered at-risk and/or with lived experience.
  • Creating and growing curricula to support the empowerment of at-risk populations.
  • Supporting administrative functions of the organization and/or coalition and its members.
  • Sharing the organization’s and coalition’s needs and resources with the community.
  • Showcasing the organization’s and coalition’s work and accomplishments.
  • Promoting community partner engagement.

The organization’s and coalition’s projects will provide students the following learning opportunities:

  • Learn about human exploitation and trafficking within Arizona and globally.
  • Learn about and participate in creating integrated and evidence and trauma informed services and mentorship material and activities for at-risk populations.
  • Get to know the anti-exploitation and trafficking landscape within the state and globally.
  • Learn about and work with diverse at-risk populations.
  • Work with lived experience experts that will help guide your projects.
  • Learn about and participate in coalition building.
  • Learn about and participate in macro level program development and capacity building.
  • Implement and practice healthy boundaries and self-care strategies to mitigate the impact of vicarious trauma.
  • Participate in program evaluation, quality assurance, and reporting.
  • Participate in community events focused on anti-exploitation and trafficking, as well as on advocacy and empowerment for at-risk populations.
